SPCI 2002: UPMKs finepaper is in the spotlight for growth

Fine Paper, one of UPM-Kymmene’s product areas, is in the spotlight for further growth. UPM-Kymmene is focusing on the possibility of expansion on the European fine papermarket, especially through acquisitions or mergers. According to Jyrki Ovaska, manager at UPM-Kymmene finepaper- and specialty paper divison, there is no time schedule for aqusitions. Compared to other paper products, fine paper is not consolidated enough, there is room for improvemnets, Ovaska says.(SPCI News)
