The green liquor cooking and washing technology will improve the fiber quality and reduce effluents, as well as lowering production costs. Start-up is scheduled for the second quarter of 2014.The scope of supply comprises the chip washing system, the cooking plant with continuous steam-phase digester, flat disc refiners, washers, screw presses, electrical equipment, and instrumentation and control systems. The new plant will use birch and aspen as the raw material to produce 1,000 tons per day of fluting and testliner pulp grades, doubling the mill’s current capacity.
