SPCI´99: Wind down at Jagenberg!

Jagenberg is showing its Vari-Flex S winder at this year's show, as well as a number of other products and innovations in winding and coating technology. The Vari-Flex S is a new two-drum winder with Jagflex winding technology. Suitable for small and medium working widths (1.8-4.0 m), Jagenberg says it combines high productivity with ease of operation. The Vari-Flex S can be used for almost all grades of paper and will even handle pressure- and surface-sensitive papers. It has a maximum operating speed of 2,000 m/min. Jagenberg already has nine confirmed orders for the Vari-Flex S.Also on the stand this year is news of the Vari-Top II, a new centre-drum winder for very large and heavy rolls of high-grade paper. Operating speed is up to 2,800 m/min and finished roll change takes only 35 seconds. Vari-Top II also has a multidrive covering 'so that stress-free winding will give profile-tolerant nips', Jagenberg explains.The team at Jagenberg's stand will also be on hand to talk about its Modular Combi-Blade (MCB) which offers four different applicator systems for various applications . All four coating applications, the Combi-Blade metering system, backing roll and framing of the metering system remain unchanged in their positions - and all four applicator systems are designed as independent, interchangable modules.(Papernews)
